- Investigation of reports of communicable diseases including food and water borne illness.
- Staff also implement appropriate control measures to prevent the spread of communicable diseases in the community.
- Nursing staff provides information about various communicable diseases.
All physicians offices, labs, schools and daycare providers are communicable disease reporters. Please call a Health Department RN directly to report chicken pox, whooping cough/pertussis, measles, mumps, meningitis, rabies or any foodborne/waterborne illness within 24 hours.
