Cottage Food / Farmers Market
Purpose
The Cottage Food Program provides the opportunity for Certified Food Protection Managers (CFPM) to take their food service skills and bring them directly to the local community through established farmers markets. This program allows for a CFPM to make non-Time/Temperature Control for Safety (TCS) Foods and then sell them at farmers markets.
Registration
Registration must be done with our department and the guidelines for what is allowed and how the products must be handled are in the links below. This is a process regulated by the Illinois Department of Public Health, the Illinois Department of Agriculture and Tazewell County Health Department.
Additional Information
Visit the Illinois Department of Agriculture Farmers Market website for more information.
