johnson & johnson COVID-19 Vaccine Paused - 4/13/21
Out of an abundance of caution, all clinics offering Johnson & Johnson, which requires only one dose, have been paused by the CDC and the FDA, pending a review of 6 cases of a rare blood clot. CDC will convene a meeting of the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices to assess potential significance. People who have received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine who develop severe headache, abdominal pain, leg pain, or shortness of breath within 3 weeks after vaccination should contact their health care provider. Right now, these adverse events appear to be extremely rare.
