Komen award group

TCHD staff working on the Illinois Breast and Cervical Cancer Program were honored by the Susan G Komen Memorial Affiliate at the "Pink Promise - All That Glitters" Survivor Fashion Show and Luncheon.

The IBCCP staff were celebrated as an outstanding partner, committed to the mission of ending breast cancer forever.  Linda Maricle, Executive Director, presented staff with the Linda B. Washkuhn Education & Leadership Award.

Tazewell County Health Department has begun to serve women in Marshall, Peoria, Tazewell and Woodford by offering free mammograms and pap tests with the Illinois Department of Public Health Breast and Cervical Cancer Program.  TCHD has also added a bi-lingual educator and community navigator to the staff in the past year to increase outreach opportunities.

If you would like to learn more or see if you are eligible for free health screenings, contact Michele at 309-929-0324.

Congratulations TCHD IBCCP staff!
